World Education (1998)
A downloadable game for Windows
This is a game created by Quantum Play Interactive for educational institutions. The game was lost from 1998 to 2026.
Quantum Play Interactive is an American educational software company founded in 1993. The company was known for its interactive educational programs for schools and libraries, which were distributed on CD‑ROM. The company’s most famous product is the “World Education” series of games, which focuses on geography and history.
The first game in the “World Education” series was called “World Education: History.” It was sold in a limited run of 2,000 copies and distributed through catalogs of educational institutions.
The second game is called “World Education”; the game was fully completed but never released due to the company’s bankruptcy.
Later, 28 years later, the game was found in the archives of School No. 39 in Boston, Massachusetts.
Employees of Quantum Play Interactive:
Marcus Steele – Co-founder of the company
Daniel Park – Developer
Clara Mitchell – Artist
Richard Blackwood – Composer
Update: I found an unused menu item in the game files, and I also found a location that wasn’t added to the game.
